A new Board of Litgrid AB is about to start its operations

On 29 July, after the approval of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, the newly composed Board of Litgrid AB started its operations. The new Board consists of five members,  two of them being Litgrid executives, two members - from the parent company EPSO-G and one independent member.

The General Manager of the company Daivis Virbickas and Director of Transmission Network Department Vidmantas Grušas represent Litgrid in the Board.

Daivis Virbickas has managed Litgrid since 2013; previously he worked as Technical Director at Litgrid. D. Virbickas has extensive experience in the creation and management of electricity transmission system development strategies, energy project management, electricity market analysis and corporate management.

Vidmantas Grušas has extensive experience in the operation of high-voltage electricity transmission network, development of network objects and dispatch management. Since April of 2011 he has held the post of Director of Transmission Network Department at Litgrid.

Rimvydas Štilinis and Nemunas Biknius will represent the parent company UAB EPSO-G in the board, which owns 97.5 percent of the company’s shares.

Rimvydas Štilinis is Director of Infrastructure at EPSO-G and member of the Board of the Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator Amber Grid. In 2002-2014, he worked in UAB Lietuvos Energija, in 2008-2014 he held the post of Manager of Construction and Infrastructure Department and Head of Infrastructure Competence Centre. In 2014-2015 he was the General Manager at UAB VAE SPB.

Nemunas Biknius is Director of Strategy and Development at EPSO-G. He is also the Chair of the Board of the Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator Amber Grid and member of the board of the Baltpool Energy Exchange. N. Biknius worked in the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Energy and he was a Board member and Director of Service and Development Department in the public limited liability company Lietuvos Dujos.

Domas Sidaravičius was elected an independent board member of Litgrid. D. Sidaravičius has many years of experience in finance, insurance services and business risk management. Since March 2016, he has held the post of a member of the Board and CEO of ERGO Invest SIA.
