Darius Kašauskas becomes Head of Finance and Operational Planning of EPSO-G Group

On Monday, Darius Kašauskas took up the position of Head of Finance and Operational Planning of the EPSO-G group of energy transmission and exchange companies. With 15 years of experience in various companies in the energy sector, he will be responsible for the Group’s financial and treasury management, accounting, planning and control, and other operational areas.

From 2013 to 2022, Darius Kašauskas worked as Director of Finance and Treasury and Member of the Management Board of “Ignitis Group”, and was a member of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of the Group and other companies in the energy sector, as well as a member of the Supervisory Boards and chaired the Management Boards and Supervisory Boards of different companies. He started working in the energy sector in 2008 at the then “Rytų skirstomieji tinklai”, and gained experience in the management of finance departments at VST and VAE (Visaginas Nuclear Power Plant).

Prior to joining the energy sector, the new Head of Finance and Operational Planning spent seven years in management positions in insurance companies.

According to Mindaugas Keizeris, CEO of EPSO-G, the experienced professional will undoubtedly strengthen the company’s management team, and the whole EPSO-G Group will benefit from Darius’ experience in the areas of financial management, ensuring an effective financing structure and diversification, and financial control.

Darius Kašauskas holds a Master’s degree in economics and management from Vilnius University and ISM University of Management and Economics, as well as a PhD in economics in social sciences from the latter.

In 2015, “Verslo žinios” newspaper and the Association of Financial Analysts recognised Kašauskas as the best financial manager in Lithuania.

The EPSO-G Group consists of the management company EPSO-G, companies “Amber Grid”, “Baltpool”, “Energy cells”, “Litgrid” and “Tetas”, and the indirectly controlled “GET Baltic”. The rights and responsibilities of the sole shareholder of EPSO-G are implemented by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania.
